Yard Projects

Hello!

Well this weekend Kris and I decided that working on the yard was our main priority.

We started with our plants around the South side of the house and dug out the dirt (see Ronan in the dirt pile picture ha haa!) we went back and dug and placed our edging, placed and tacked down our weed blocker fabric and replaced some plants and mulched... so far phase 1 of the project is complete-- we would still like to get the North side of the house as well as around the trees in the front done as well- but I think we did a great job this weekend!!!

Ronan was a pretty good worker, and to be honest- I don't think he's ever been that dirty, ever, he even didn't want to play in the bathrub after noticing the ring of dirt around the edges.

We took him to Aliens restaraunt Saturday night as a reward for working so hard all day!

Sunday was a good day too! Rachel and I met for breakfast and then went and saw Sex and the City the movie... IT WAS great!!! I cried, mostly from laughing... but it really was good! Thanks again Ra, I had a good time... well except for the mega expensive-ness of the movie theather these days-- I mean $7.25 for a matinee? And $10 for a small popcorn and small soda? Really? Anyway in this case it was worth it. But this is why Redbox seems like a better and better idea.

Virgil came over Sunday afternoon and Ronan, he and Kris went and did a little bumming and some projects outside also... and then Jan and Wayne came over Sunday night for dinner. It's Wayne's birthday this week- so we celebrated with Steaks on the grill and some cheesecake for dessert! Happy Birthday Wayne!

Well we were just saying this, like every other weekend, went by way too quickly! I can't believe it's June already either-- yikes!

We will have to update you this week-- 1st of all Ronan and Kris have their first "Sports Spectacular" class on Tuesday night... Ronan gets to learn about all the different sports and it builds team learning skills. Then on Wednesday Kris and I have our kickball finals-- we have made it this far with only 1 loss... so there is a potential of 3 games this week- if we win! WISH us luck!!!

Have a great week everyone-- talk to you soon!

HAPPY GRADUATION TRYGVE!!!

Wow! The yard looks awesome. Good job landscaping the dirt away from the foundation and the black plastic trim looks sharp. Nothing is more fun to a young boy than a pile of dirt. I'm glad that he had fun.

The sports class sounds like fun, but hopefully it doesn't cover NASCAR!

See ya at the game,

Mickey

Mickey, I'm sure you will find that little girls love giant piles of dirt too! Even if they are wearing pink. Ha ha...

The yard looks great guys! Lets bring it on Wednesday!! (And hopefully it's not raining.)
