Norma's Birthday Weekend!!!
Yeah... it was a great weekend in Marshfield. My mom turned 50 this weekend... and as she so nicely pointed out to Kris, if I happen to look anything like her at 50- he should be thankful! ha ha.. She looks great, and no one would guess she's 50!
We had a blast! Dad got these "Bubba Teeth" for Ronan, who after figuring out what they were for, couldn't stop wearing them around- he could barely talk!! ha ha.. so we all tried out the teeth- it was so funny! We also brought with us Silly Putty- but no one could putty it up quite like Ashley- she put us to shame with her "unique" expressions- HA HAAAA!
Speaking of Ashley, we discovered Ronan's infatuation with her this weekend- he really had a new buddy, who he couldn't wait to sit by and joke with everywhere we went, I; however am not exactly clear on if she's a good role model, we found them chewing large quantities of gum, eating frozen heath bits right out of the bag, and hitting each other with their flip flops. As Ronan asked when we dropped Ash off..." I'll go with Ashley, I could live with her for a while."
We also went to Jarustic Park this weekend to see the large metal sculptures. They were awesome, we had been there before- but it's almost like every time you look again you see something you didn't the first time.
Ronan had a good time with the neighbor kids, or as he puts it "yeah, my neighbors" at one point he even stood under their windows yelling "Hey, you guys want to come out and play?" they had their sprinkler and squirt guns out for most of Saturday afternoon.
Dad's friend Norlan stopped over on Sunday for a while and brought his son Matthew. So Ronan brought out the "Over the Hedge" movie for them to watch on the deck.
Well the weekend ended with us visiting Grandma Price's house on the way home- (sorry we forgot to take pictures) but Ronan was SO impressed. He said "You're Grandma lives on a farm?"
I took him out to the barn where he immediately put his shirt over his nose and announced "you should really tell them to clean their barn, it stinks in here!" ha ha.. we then went and jumped around on some big hay bails, pet the horses and dogs and cats- and he even peed outside (this quite possibly was the highlight of seeing Grandma Price's farm!)
So thanks Mom and Dad for the great weekend... and Happy Birthday again Mom- we love you both!
