Great Weekend...
Saturday Kris and I took Ronan to Como Zoo and met Virgil and Mary for the afternoon... quite the day I have to say... We got Ronan the all you can ride arm band pass and off we went. Ronan's first ride- the blue car he choose, he angrily told us when he was done that he was never riding those dumb cars again... ever. It appears he couldn't jam his foot on the gas pedal consistently which made some of the other riders appear to be "zooming" by him. This was not acceptable- we did not ride those again. Our next choice was the "screaming dragon" roller coaster. (Why we didn't know what was going to happen before we had to pay for the 4 adult tickets I am not sure?) Kris and Ronan got all set, while the nice girl explains to all the riders that if it's just way too scary to raise your hand in a fist in the air when you come around the turn and she'll let you off.... yep, Ronan had the fist a flying about the 1st turn into it, 2 loops around and he was off- saying that he would NEVER ride that ride again. All in all it really did turn out alright, we strayed away from the rides and got to see some animals, but I do believe we've got some time before the rides are up Ronan's alley-- (note we have Valleyfair planned for September.. ha ha.. oh geeze!)
I also had to include a picture of the pillows on the livingroom floor. I am not sure if anyone else played this as a kid, but I remember quite a few times the carpet was infested with kid eating alligators or hot lava, so you had to stay on the "rocks" -- it kept us entertained the rest of the afternoon.
Sunday morning I went to the Farmer's Market again... Rachel and Donella came and we picked up a few things (GINORMOUS cabbage) I made mom's recipe for cabbage rolls- which I love by the way- as long as I am not hauling them in their tomato juiciness in the back of my tan colored interior of my car to impress that boyfriend of mine a year or two ago-- yep, without all of that - they rule. Thanks girls for a great day...
Not much else to report. Kris is off taking Jan and Wayne to the train station- they are leaving for Seattle tonight... we hope they have a great trip!!!
PS- swimming lessons are officially over, Ronan graduated with flying colors into the "tadpole" or maybe it was "polliwogs" class now, but anyway- we will probably be joining again in the future, but not if you'd ask Ronan who claims he now already knows how to swim and does not need to take anymore of those classes where he'd have to go under the water.
Have a great week...

Also, for me, it was always hot lava. Where the heck did that come from, anyway?
