Fall Fun
On Friday Ronan and I found a caterpillar "fuzzy" in our yard. He's black and orange and we later found out he's a Wooly Bear caterpillar and the size of his black stripes were once a determining factor in the harshness of winter.... FYI- Fuzzy's stripes indicate a moderate to mild winter. Anyway, he's in our house now, we've made a little home for him and Ronan has taken him all around the house, showing him each room and introducing him to Goldy (our giant goldfish...not kidding, she's huge!) We've discovered he will turn into a moth eventually- so we'll have to keep you updated on his progress to mothydom.
We decided since the weather was warm, we'd carve our pumpkin- the look on Ronan's face when I asked him to scoop out some of the guts with his hands was priceless... his exact words "this is Nasty!" ha ha.. it turned out great... so as a fun treat we got some bubble tape (Remember that and big league chew when you were a kid? Totally made his day.)
Kris spent a good portion of the weekend raking our endless supply of leaves... the pile was huge! So we all took turns jumping and getting buried in them... a very fun fall weekend!
