Memorable Weekend

This past weekend was really a good one!

Kris wins the greatest Dad award (for lots of reasons) but this particular weekend he found stick-ems for Ronan's wall- in, yep that's right folks, Star Wars! The Cars Movie stickers have been replaced with R2D2 and other people I don't know of... (although I did end up watching all of a Clone Wars Movie this weekend with him- kind of entertaining, but mostly this must be a guy thing)

On Saturday we met up with Jan and Wayne and went to "The Christmas Window" a play put on at the North Heights Lutheran Church in Shoreview. It was amazing, really. They had the cloth acrobats that spin and do tricks from the cloth hanging from the ceiling, at some points I would bet there were over 200 people on stage singing and performing, they even had a mini-ice rink for these skaters as part of the show. It was really memorable! The story was much like the Little Drummer Boy only a spin to make it more modern.

We then got a chance to go to Benihana afterwards... yum! Ronan decided to tell Grandma Jan that this was were he wanted his birthday dinner to be at- good job little man! It was great, Ronan eats things here that he would normally never try. Shrimp and salad and so many new things- of course the running joke was when he asked Kris if we'd get a girl chef and Kris told Ronan no, otherwise they'd have to call it Jenny-Hana... Ronan could not stop saying that (really, he just kept saying it.. ha ha!!)

On Sunday Kris and Ronan met up with Ronan's cousins at TJ's restaurant in St.Michael. Santa came to the restaurant for the kids to see. Ronan said that he was really fun, but apparently Santa had to go to the bathroom a lot. I later found out from Kris that Santa and he actually met in the restroom where Santa announced that the warm temperature was affecting his beard and stash-- ha ha.. HO HO HO-NO Santa!

Thanks Grandma Jan and Wayne for a good weekend of activities... we can't wait for Christmas!
